We had a busy month of enjoying the weather. Summer was pretty cool this year, with a lot of rain but when it was nice we spent as much time outside as possible. We went to the beach at least twice a week, the pool on the other nights and the zoo almost weekly. Coming back to a place we have already lived in has been great because we have a bunch of friends already here.

Smitty had his first 24 hour shift on the 4th so Genevieve and I just partied until me dropped with out him. We went to the ward pancake breakfast, the beach and a BBQ with neighborhood fireworks. WE tried twice to visit Smitty at work, and the second time he was able to break away for a bit. Genevieve had three holiday outfits and with all the partying she was able to dirty and wear all three of them. We had so much fun with all our friends and the wonderful weather that we ended up staying up way past bedtime but she was a champ

We had to do temporary housing for about a month while we waited for a rental home from the residency program. After two weeks we got the call that a house was available for us. We had to wait for them to take care of a few things but we are now settling in.

Smitty had his physical for his army application down in Carlisle, PA so we decided to go with him and  have a small daytrip. The weather wasn't so great so we went to Hershey, PA to see chocolate world. She loved the straw in the milkshake and thats about it. She slept a lot of the trip.

Ain't no party like a Scranton party

 The office ended this season and they had a big parade here in Scranton. We went downtown to check it out with our neighbors and Office lovers, the Lundbergs.

Cousins

After Gettysburg and a 6 hour round trip in one day, why not drive down to D.C. a couple of days later? right?! Genevieve got to spend time with her cousins. SHe had a blast. The weather was great so I dragged everyone to the zoo.
