So i told Smitty when I got Ambush not to worry, because the cats I get never last more than a year. We have now had Ambush for 2 1/2 years and I thought last night would be it. We let her go out on the deck of the apartment because she is afraid to go outside so last night @ 10 I decide to bring her in and close the door. I couldn't find her! I search all over and then call Smitty to see if he saw her when he left for school. Nope. I started picking up the place thinking she would appear from the magic land of 'secret hiding places for cats.' Smitty got home from school and we took our flashlights outside to see if she was still around. Nope. (We did find a mama and three kittens though; don't worry we stopped looking for 5 minutes to feed them) We said a prayer and I tried to go to sleep because I had work in the morning. At 215 am Smitty runs into the bedroom yelling and saying he found her, but she won't come to him. I jump out of bed and run after him outside. Turns out he was worried about his sad wife and had spent the last hour or so driving around looking for her. As soon as she saw me she cuddled into my arms and continued to hiss @ Smitty. I am happy to report to all those that are still reading that she is safe and slept by me the entire night. Oh and there is chicken wire covering the from of the deck.I am so, so, so lucky so have such a wonderful man in my life who gave up sleep to look for my little gato. All the girls @ work think he is the sweetest man ever and I will say I have to agree. Love you babe!
