• I have a lot of pictures so I am going to do a couple of posts (dad I need photos from Idaho!!) The first I am doing is on friends. one thing I love about heading back to utah this time was seeing all of our friends, both mine and Smitty's. I was able to squeeze in almost all of my friends that are all originally from Washington but now live in utah. Smitty was a good sport for driving me to lunch a couple of time and his mom was great for letting me take the car. I am glad to report that all the girls and chris (forgot to take a photo with him) are doing great.

• Smitty and I were also able to get together with our really good friends Joe, Tai, Kerry, Jill, Landon, Paige and of course Quinny! I was bad and only took a picture with Landon and Paige on the last day of our trip. We are so grateful for all the late night chats and games and that we are able to have such great friends in our lives.
• One of the reasons we stayed in UT for so long is so Smitty could go to his 10 year high school reunion. Crazy!! I know. Mine is next year and I am super excited. We had a lot of fun chatting with the friends of his I knew and meeting the other ones. I got some good stories and a picture, which is rare for Smitty, the face in the pictures is very normal when someone says CHEESE!

So I will actually start with memorial day weekend. I tried to plan a fun BBQ to the beach on Memorial day. I know it would be crazy crowded but I had this magical BBQ with all our friends eating, playing games, and just chilling in the lake. About an hour before Smitty and I were going to hunt down a spot we were issued a thunderstorm warning. so we ended up moving the party to our friend Rachel's house and I forgot my camera. Darn it!! On a good note, my friend was on a mini road trip visiting church history sites and she just had to drive thru Erie and say hello. Shannon and I have known each other since preschool! I can only think of two other people I have known that long.

On tuesday I made sure I packed it all in . Last week I made Smitty go to the doctors. He finally finished his first year of medical school and I wanted to take care of a lot of complaints he had had during the year. So on Tuesday he had a barium swallow to track for acid reflux. Everything went just as we thought. That night Britini and I thru a baby shower for our friend Ashley. Ashley and I met after the first week of medical school when our husbands made us go to a BBQ. She is who I have become closest to since we have been in Erie. And yes we are both named Ashlee and we both have brown hair. We finished the week on a mellow note. I worked and we wet mini golfing and to the dollar theatre to see date night

It is time for me to brag not only about my husband, but about my sister. Her relay team has the #1 high school times in Washington!

Tess Parent carries Inglemoor girls to title at KingCo meet | Prep track and field

Inglemoor's Tess Parent capped a brilliant week by winning the girls triple jump, giving her four victories in the KingCo 4A/3A track and field meet.

SAMMAMISH — Inglemoor's Tess Parent more than carried her share of the load this week at the KingCo 4A track and field championships.

She went a perfect 4 for 4. She also didn't miss a chance to encourage her teammates with vigor throughout the meet.

As a result, the Vikings carried away the girls team title.

Parent, a senior, capped a brilliant week by winning the triple jump (37 feet, 10 ½ inches) and running on the victorious 400 and 800 relays on Friday at the combined KingCo 4A/3A meet at Eastlake High School.

Inglemoor easily won the girls crown with 149 points to Skyline's 101.33, thanks to a heavy dose of points from Parent, who owns the state's top triple-jump mark this season (38-4 ¾).

"With my jumps, I just wanted to stay consistent and leave my peak for state," said Parent, who won the long jump crown on Wednesday. "I'm hoping to get close to 39 feet. I think I have it in me."

Skyline junior Kasen Williams completed a field triple in KingCo 4A by taking the triple jump in a meet-record 49-3 ¾ on Friday. He won the high jump (6-10) and long jump (23-10 ½) on Wednesday.

Williams, a standout football player, shattered the meet triple-jump mark of 47-5 by Inglemoor's Greg Watkins in 1979. Williams' mark bettered his state-leading standard this season and was 15 inches better than the state's next-best competitor.

Williams sits just 17 inches behind the all-time state mark in the event. Rashad Toussaint of West Valley of Spokane established the mark of 50-8 ¾ in 2005.

Parent and her 800 relay teammates Lindsy Johanson, McKenna Grimsby and Hannah Stevenson nearly topped the meet record by going a state-best 1:42.60 Friday.

Parent later teamed with Johanson, Grimsby and Stevenson to take the 400 relay in 48.37, just .10 off the meet mark.

"Our relay has been improving this whole season," Parent said. "It was exciting to see that we could keep improving."

She also had her first prom! I just love the picture of all the girls in color order.

We have been up to a whole lot of nothing for the last couple of weeks, well I have been up to nothing. Smitty has been preparing for finals and it is finally over!!! Today was his last final. He is now 1/4 doctor. We celebrated by going to lunch with our friends the B-holts and then had the missionaries over for dinner. I have no pictures to show for any of this. Proud of you babe!

we finally made to Longaberger basket on tuesday. You get to walk thru the factory and watch people make all different kinds of baskets and again you could smell the wood. After that we found a little town called Roscoe in the middle of amish country. The town was from the late 1800s and was were the canal boats went down the ohio I think. We got there kind of late so we didn't take the tours. It was home school day and we got to follow this cute group of amish girls, they stopped and smelled lilacs with mom. (the rule w/ pictures & amish- if you feel you have to photograph them they ask you do not get their faces in the photos) Smitty happened to call and we used him to get us a cheap hotel on Canton, oh for the night. we scored big time! The hotel was right next to the First Ladies museum- so took a quick tour this morning and then took mom to the airport. what a week

so sunday and monday were my I'm done days. we had a ton more to see in Louisville but we didn't realize that all the tourist places are closed on Sundays and mondays. On monday it was raining and everything was still closed so I was ready to leave louisville but we had to get a picture of Hannah & Olivia in their official blazers, they kept running away from us but they finally stuck a pose and then we were out of there!! we tried to salvage the day by finding this little german town to eat lunch @ in Cincinnati but it was also closed!! so we went to the outlet mall instead.

ok so day three was really busy. We planned on 'running' into hannah @ church hill downs so we ran over and explored what we could of downtown before that. we went to the slugger museum so I could take pictures of all things baseball for Smitty. The tour is awesome! It's $10 bucks you go into the actual factory and watch them make bats (it smelled of wood, which I love) and you get a 12" at the end of the tour. They also have batting cages and a ton of interactive things. we found all sorts of cool art and the cornel sanders museum. BEfore we went to run into hannah we had appetizers @ joe's crab shack where we were thrown int the middle of a dance party. @ church hill downs we had to beg my sister to come out of her reserved box seat and hang out in the trenches with us. It poured almost the entire time we were there but all we could think about was how much we needed a derby hat. huh. Hannah left before we did and she texted me about lynn's paradise cafe and how cool it was outside so we went over there to eat. Mom and I were there for almost two hours before we realized hannah was sitting about 20 feet from us. ha ha ha.
