new years 2013

My mom sent us a list of fun activities to do every hour leading up to midnight.
6pm- We were suppose to get balloons to pop every hour but we are working on getting Vie to bed on time so we had a great meal instead. Lobster, Crab legs and salad. Ambush was a little Jealous ( I snuck her some when Smitty was out of the room)
7pm- I wanted to try making a double chocolate banana pie. It did not turn out. so we had chocolate pudding with bananas and whipped cream. We did not even attempt to put together a 300 piece puzzle because we were still trying to get Vie down
8pm-WE made wrapping paper hats
9-pm pie crust cookie in shape 2013
10- we forgot the soap so make a soap volcano in the microwave so we made a 2013 out of skittles.
11pm- we failed miserably at flashlight bingo so we made nachos
midnight- we were suppose to eat 12 grapes in 12 seconds. Fat chance but we still accepted the challenge.

christmas

We headed back from Seattle on December 23rd. We found out that we could have stayed and celebrated christmas with my parents but we didnt want to pay to switch our tickets so we went back to Scranton to and Christmas with Smitty. And good thing we did because the day after we got back to got our first real snow storm of 6 inches! Christmas was very low key, we had opened most of our presents before so we just took some pictures of Genevieve opening her gift from Santa.

Michael's Wedding

Quick trip to Utah For my little brother-in-law's wedding. They were a gorgeous couple and we are so excited for them. We also snuck in a quick photo shoot for new Meads family photos.

A picture a day keeps the cuteness all day!!!!
we had our two month appointment and things are going great. She is 9lbs 15 oz 22inches long. She had all her shots at once (mean mommy) and she was a trooper

Before & After

 While my mom was here we put her to work. She rearranged the furniture in the baby room, painted a dresser, recovered the glider, and made the crib bedding. We forgot to take a before picture of the glider but i just happened to have the pictures of the dresser on my phone. I have been looking for a cheap dresser on Craigs list  for a while but CL in Scranton is very under utilized, and I gave up. Smitty spent July in Erie, PA and I went up to see him for a weekend. My friend Rachel, who also searches CL for a great deal had ust picked up this dresser to put in her craft room. Lucky for me she called a couple weeks later and told me it wasn't going to work out for her, but I could buy it from her. A couple coats of whipped strawberry by valspar (Valspar is not good for painting furniture FYI) and a stencil down the front and its perfect!! Thanks mom

A couple of years ago my brother called me to say that mom was getting rid of stuff in the attic. He wanted to tattle on her for getting rid of this pumpkin costume. My siblings and I all wore this for out first Halloween. We were all almost a year old when we wore it so I added some elastic to the bottom and tucked the hat in so it could fit her. I kind of like the bow better though, and the smile!
