I'm going to Disney World!!

Did you know I have a very smart sister? well I do!! My sister compete in DECA and for the last two years she has made it to nationals. Last year nationals was hosted in Louisville, KY and this year in Orlando. My mom and I have "crashed the party" both years.

The first day was miserable so there is only one pic of me at the buzz lightyear game. I hate how I look but I figured I needed to document that I was there. The other pics are from all my people watching. I LOVE the princess. The pirates were the best subjects because they were so excited to pose for me.

I know I have dropped of the face of the earth for the past two months but I have been doign nothing fun that would be worth blogging about.... until now.

Smitty and I move in 5 weeks so I have been working as much as I can before I leave my jobs.

Last week I worked seven 12 hours shifts in nine days!! that was way to much and I have the sore throat and stuffy nose to prove it!

This week my friend Cassisdy and I went to Scranton, PA to look for housing. I had to leave early from Scranton to get to a doctor's appt in Pittsburgh on Friday morning. so this is how the last 4 days have been

Wed: 9am doc appt on the road for Scranton (5 hour drive) by 10am. Arrive in Scranton 3pm and start to look for housing

Thur: All day in scranton looking for housing and dropping off job applications for both Cassidy and I all day

Fri: Up and on the road by 330 am for Doctor's appt in Pittsburgh by 9 am (5 hour drive) Dr is running late by an hour. Leave Dr appt and I am to tired to get on the road so I take a side trip to IKEA. Back on the road @ 2pm to get home for dinner with the gang @ 5pm.

Sat: on the road by 9am to Toronoto Canada for a Toronto Blue Jays game and do do a session @ the temple. Temple was closed so after the game we headed back to Buffalo and ate at PF changs for dinner and cheesecake factory for dessert.

Sunday: Easter church service and Easter dinner with the gang.

so anyone I have been fabric shopping with in the past year know I wanted to make a black, white and red quilt to match my living room. After changing the the pattern five or six times and trying to figure out how I could get my grandma to finish it for me; I thought- I won't use a quilt as much as I would a blanket. so TADA!!! these pics aren't great but you get the idea!

Still hibernating

We thawed out for about three days and then BAM!! another foot of snow and very cold temps (weather.com says 17 degrees, feels like -1) Smitty is trucking along with school and I am working quite a bit so I can sleep during the day. Hopefully that will make this winter weather disappear faster!!

I fell in that and my shoes came off so I had to go in head first and get them.
I also fell/ slide down that back of this wave.
so last year winter I thought is was crazy how many people for ice fishing here. There are hundreds of them out on the bay side in the little huts some days. I have told Smitty for a while now I wanted to go walk on the lake like they do. Smitty had a break from school this weekend so on Friday afternoon we went out to the lake ..... and we walked on it.... and I thought it was lame. we got out there and I said "this is it?" i don't know what I was thinking it would be like but I was disappointed. I remembered that my friend Havalah told me that last year her and her husband went on walked on the waves on the beach side. so we went over to the beach side. MUCH COOLER!!. These giant waves have literally frozen in place and you can just walk out on them. We were not prepared for how cold it was so we didn't last long, but we are definitely going back!!

We have had a very uneventful month except for the pictures I posted. We got back from Christmas break and Smitty had to jump right back into school and I jumped back into work. It has snowed a lot and the temp outside has hit the negatives so we really have been hibernating. We did get together with with our friends Mike, Cassidy, Ashley & Cody on New Year's for games, sweets and cider.

Smitty also took some time off to take me to the Cheesecake Factory in Buffalo for my b-day. It's about a two hour drive so we were able to spend some time together before we sat thru dinner and people watched. I love to people watch!!
