TODAY

three hours down, nine-ish to go. It's hard to say your bored at work becasue if you get bored at a hospital it usually means people are healthy which is good for them just bad for business.

I have been taking care of the same three critical patients for the past three weeks, unfortunatley one of them passed this morning. (we like to call it a celestial transport) my other two are in a holding pattern. I'm taking a quick break to drink my breafast and then head back to the ICU to listen to the heart monitor beep, beep, beep.

DON'T CRY FOR ME....

I JUST GOT CURIOUS AND HAD TO CHECK IT OUT BUT THERE IS, I REPEAT IS A TARGET IN ERIE. DON'T WORRY SMITTY NOW I CAN MOVE THERE.
THE CLOSET IKEA HOW EVER, IS ABOUT 2-3 HOURS AWAY IN PITTSBURGH BUT I'M SURE I CAN TALK A COUPLE OF PEOPLE INTO A DAY TRIP OUT THERE.
NOW FOR GROCERY STORES- I WAS HOPING THE MOVE WOULD BRING A SAFEWAY BACK INTO MY LIFE, SO I CALLED MY PADRE- THE FOUNTAIN OF GROCERY STORE KNOWLEDGE HOPING FOR SOME GOOD NEWS AND I AM SAD TO REPORT ALL THE GROCERS ARE STORES I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF OF- OH WELL MORE ADVENTURES TO BE HAD.

Just Venting...

So I just did a lung function test on a 17 year old who can't figure out why he can't breath- I'm hoping the pictures give away why he can't breath. HE SMOKES. I just wanted to smack him upside the head and yell at him! So I'm posting this for anyone who does smoke and for my sister to gross her friends out with if any of them smoke. This is what your lungs will look like if you even just smoke a little. Trust me i spend 40- 50 hours a week with people who are dying from smoking. IT's NOT WORTH IT

BIG NEWS!!

In the past three days we have had some very exciting news!! We sold our condo and got our first acceptance to medical school!!! We will not be moving until March 11th (the search for a 5 month rental is on) but we are excited that it is finally over. we also got our first acceptance letter to medical school- where to, do you ask? Erie, PA. Smitty was there for his interview over my birthday and he came home with only wonderful things to say about this little town. It reminded him of Logan, UT which is the only city we have ever agreed. We booked a flight for spring break to head out there to look for possible housing and to make new friends with the complete strangers we will be staying with. Smitty has worked really hard on his grades, interviews and running home to help pick up the house before a showing I am so proud of him and all his hard work- it's paying off!

WHEN THE CATS AWAY - ALL THE MICE COME OUT TO PLAY!

sO Smitty left on Thursday for a med school interview and won't be back till Monday. I thought II would give you a little insight on what I do when he is gone. on Saturday after shopping and a massage I came home threw in some laundry and had a very tasty lean cuisine (jk) while watching PS I Love You. I then made cookies and went to bed. Crazy Saturday night if you ask me!
Today we had ward conference, and I explained to people all day why my husband was missing. Since church I folded all the laundry, made dinner (pa-sgetti and meatballs) cleaned, scrapbooked, finished eating the cookies and finished a work project. Tonight I will climb into bed with my cat and watch The Office and 30 rock. So now you know

What was waiting for me when I got home from work- Love your face Smitty!

I turned 26 on thursday! Yeah! and like most gals my birthday lasts the entire week. On Tuesday my family's b-day package showed up with funny cards, clothes, and cute organizing stuff. If any of you have ever witnessed a package from my family you would know that they always include something random from our family's favorite store- Archie McPhees. This time it it is my very own edition of the CRAZY CAT LADY BOARD GAME. what household is complete with out one.
On wednesday the Meads boys and I went out for sushi at one of my favorites- Mikado. I best part of the night beside the calamari was Michael's reaction to his first sushi experience. He likes sushi and my sugar cookies the best! ha ha
Thursday was my big day- and what else would I do than work?! That night Megan, Marj & me went out to Olive Garden. I'm sure more girl's night will follow.
Friday was girl's night with the hometown group. My girlfriend's from home and I went out to Zuppas and saw Bride Wars. We really only hang out once a year so it is always so fun.
Saturday my BFF Andi & I went up to Park City to shop, shop, shop and then had massages.
So besides gaining about ten pounds from eating out all week and Smitty being gone, I was overall a wonderful birthday week

we put our condo on the market a couple of weeks ago and I thought since some of you have never seen where we live i would post the virtual tour from our realitor's website.

We also heard back from two more med schools. Midwestern in Glendale, AZ and Midwestern in Downer's Grove, IL. We are wait listed in Arizona and we were rejected in Illinois. These are both schools we were really excited about but we still have 11 or 12 more schools to hear from so bring it on!
