2 theories i've been thinking about

So lately I have been thinking a lot. Ok Ok Ok I am constantly able to think but a couple of thoughts have been running through my head. So out of observation I have come up with two new theories.

#1 The worst month of the year
September is the worst month of the year by far (no offense to those with sept birthdays). Why you might ask. Well, its the time of year when everything begins to go from good to bad. Temperatures drop, days shorten, plants die (obviously the colors are the only tender mercy of sept) and school is back in full session. Due to these downers I have decided that sept is the worst month. January would be except for the change in year. Also by January we are used to the cold weather.

#2 Society works as a functioning body
This theory is really only a hypothesis, but I am going to deem it a theory anyway. Working in the emergency department I see people at their worst. Often, in fact, almost every shift I work, there is a common theme among the patients. Abdominal pain is often the days choice, but other days might be chest pain, broken bones, lacerations, flank pain, headaches or sore throats. I took a long time to notice this, but there are certain days that seem to affect us as humans. This year on 9/11 we had a rather large amount of patients come into our ED. It seems to me that we act together even though we may not even know each other or plan the same ailments. Even certain days get us down and seem to take an affect on society the same way an infection might affect a body. Even on a day that might have a common theme there will be different problems enter the door. These coincide with the fact that our body is constantly battling other bacteria while other parts might be just fine. As of right now this theory is not well written nor is well studied. I only have healthcare to base it on. I want to see another part of society that functions with us acting in the same way without having to make a decision to do that which would be common.

I mostly posted this one to get my thoughts down somewhere that they would be stored and shared.

it's been one of those months

The month of August was a crazy one. After my surgery our fridge died, Smitty took the MCAT I got some weird infection in my eye that turned the sclera blood red (thus the glasses in every photo) and we've been putting in a lot of extra hours to now pay for a new car. My car was stolen some time on labor day. We still manage to have fun, thanks to Smitty; who doesn't like to stay home.
